Officially founded in 1978, Highland Light is the oldest pipe band on Cape Cod. The band started to come together
a few years before that, and have been delighting audience since. Read more about the history of the band and how you can be a part of it.
The Highland Light welcomes new members, either experienced pipers and drummers or those looking to learn. We
offer both bagpipe lessons and drum lessons to people looking to learn the instrument, and a challenge for the
experienced players looking to better themselves. If you're interested in joining the

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful woman, a band supporter, and great lover of
all things Scottish. Jan Murray-Daniels fought for 10 years against a form of cancer that wouldn’t
let go. She epitomized the courage and strength that we all could strive for. Ron Daniels was a bass drummer in
HLSPB and Jan became one of our most avid supporters. She and Ron were always there to fold programs for
Celtic Music nights, run the concession stands, provide a home for after parade parties, and even be our
transportation from the end of parades to the start (or vice versa) so we would have our vehicles handy. One of
the highlights of our Highland Light parades was marching along and looking over to see Jan and Ron’s
smiling faces cheering us on as we passed by. So many great memories of our gathering at parades end with Jan &
Ron. Tony breaking out the “band cooler” and we would raise up a Guinness and toast to the day. Her
love and strength encouraged us.....and she will be sorely missed. Our love to Ron and Jim, we share in
your loss and we will be there for you as you have always been there for us. So many great memories to
keep. Jan you will always be a part of the Highland Light Scottish Pipe Band. Rest in peace Jan
It's time for the 2024 Saint Patrick’s Day Plymouth Pub Crawl!
We will be holding our Annual Plymouth Pub Crawl with a new addition! Below is the list of fantastic local
businesses that hope to see you starting at 6:00pm on March 16th.
All proceeds collected during the crawl go towards our free teaching program and outfitting the members of the
band. If you're interested in learning to play the pipes, or drums, check out the lessons page. Today is the day to start your new hobby!

Performing, for us, is a great way to share the Scottish culture and music with folks who may otherwise never get

Best Pipe Band 2016 Cape Cod Saint Patrick's Day Parade
The band performs throughout Cape Cod and South Eastern Massachusetts at various
parades and concert venues. If you're interested in coming out to see us, check the calendar of events for the most up to date schedule. The band is always looking
for new opportunites to demonstrate the power and beauty of the Great Highland Bagpipe to new audiences. You can
hire the full band, or a mini-band, by talking to the band manager, Eileen Delaney. The band also has members that excel with solo performances, including memorial services,
weddings, and other special events. If you're looking for a piper to stun an audience for your next special
event, or make your next parade or concert a wee bit more Scottish, invite Cape Cod's oldest pipe band.
